As a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Counselor, I specialize in helping those who experience depression, anxiety, work  stress, low  self-esteem,  child/adolescent  issues,  marital  concerns, relationship concerns, memory issues or issues with the career decision-making process and many other problems. I welcome families, couples and individuals who would benefit from working out their concerns in a safe, nonjudgmental and confidential environment.

My therapeutic style is  warm,  empathetic  and  informative  while  being  goal  oriented.   After gaining an in-depth understanding of the problems being presented, we will then develop a plan that focuses on solutions.

With over a decade of providing psychotherapy, I have gained considerable experience in interdisciplinary physical rehabilitation too.  I have expertise in helping individuals to learn in the aftermath of serious injuries (particularly car accidents) to self-manage chronic, painful conditions and regain an improved quality of life. I address a wide range of general mental health issues in my practice including depression, grief, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and stress-related concerns.

Currently, I divide my time between my private practice where I consult with people who have a variety of social and psychological problems, and my role as a consulting Psychotherapist with several multidisciplinary physical rehabilitation teams, where I work with individuals experiencing complex and persisting pain and psychological issues.

When feelings of sadness, hopelessness, anxiety, shame, guilt, despair, and/or inadequacy dominate day-to-day experience, life becomes an effort. Joy, enthusiasm, hope and contentment seem all too foreign. Sharing the pain within, feels too scary because others may judge, criticize or ridicule what is shared. Feeling exposed and vulnerable is just too frightening but the emotional pain is becoming unbearable. It is very hard to share certain feelings, thoughts and behaviors with others. However, it is the naming, experiencing, and inspecting of painful feelings within a safe and nonjudgmental environment that can be very healing and freeing.

Depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, low self-esteem, relationship issues, a lack of boundaries and assertiveness all adversely affect our quality of life. These and many other issues are the experiences that I work with and use of combination of different approaches to help you make the changes you desire.
